10th Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche

The present 10th Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche was born 1963 in Bhutan. He was recognized and enthroned as the reincarnation of the last Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche by H.H. Karmapa and given the name Karma Palden Rangjung Thrinle Kunkyab Tenpe Gyaltsen Pal Sangpo at Rumtek monastery in Sikkim, India.

At the age of 5 he started his studies, writing, reading and sciences relying on H.H. Karmapa, H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and other high masters. H.E. Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche completed 10 years of studies at the Nalanda Institute in Rumtek and obtained the title of an Acharya.

 

After 3 further years of study he received the Mahasiddha-Pandit title. Thereafter he was teaching for 3 more years at the institute.
Together with Tenga Rinpoche and Benchen Chime Tulku, H.E. Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche currently is rebuilding the Benchen Monastery in Kham, Tibet.
In 2007 he completed the building of the Benchen Shedra Nangten Thösam Ling in Pharping, Nepal in order to provide a scholastic forum for the Buddhist teachings.
Presently he lives in his monastery Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling in Kathmandu, Nepal.
